Bocas Del Toro is an Archipelago located off of Panama’s Caribbean coast. Enjoy the crystal clear water, white and gold sand beaches and water you can swim in year round in a completely hurricane free environment. The Bocas del Toro region being far from the hustle and bustle of its First World big sister, Panama City on the Pacific Coast, has enabled this area to develop much slower, which has been a key to the areas continued success both in tourism and real estate. Being so far away from it all, visitors always report feeling that they are on vacation the moment they step foot off of the airplane when arriving to Bocas del Toro on nearby Isla Colon.

Bocas Del Toro is home to nine large lush tropical islands and over 200 small keys and islets all of which are teaming with incredible diversity of life both in the sea and on land. Visitors to our area can wander the colonial buildings and downtown streets, taking in the colorful Caribbean architecture circa early 20th Century. On display in Parque Bolivar (Bolivar Park) are 15th Century Spanish cannons evidence left from Cristopher Colombus on his 4th and final voyage to the New World.

No matter where you go in the islands the impact of Colombus is omni present. He took great pride in naming most of the islands and bays in some form or fashion after himself. Beyond the main island you can easily escape to a host of other activities readily available to visitors throughout the islands which are really what a visit to Bocas del Toro is all about.

Enjoy the relaxing water of the protected bay for snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, sun bathing, or simply soaking up the natural beauty that surrounds you. Visitors can also visit the “Open Waters” of The Atlantic and experience waves even the most seasoned surfers would enjoy.

Take a tour and discover the other islands that surround you, take an excursion to Dolphin Bay where you will almost certainly spot the flagship species. Take a hike on ancient beaten paths and enjoy the rich biodiversity of Panama. You will certainly spot colorful red and green dart frogs, an array of monkeys, sloths or even the occasional Cayman Crock. On your boat ride back, watch for some of the 350 species of birds that pass through the island, spot sea turtles, rays and starfish in the waters below you.
